    Oct 29,  · I was listening to Dr John and came across this album I already had the duke elagant cd and from blue sky on the after glow album is tops for a jazz collection each song has meaning and beautiful arrangements with the capper, Dr John playing the piano and if I had nerve I would sing dr John version of so long or satin doll on the voice/5(13).

    "AfterGlow" is a fabulous collection of big-band classics, with a couple of originals thrown in for good measure. From the rolling piano intro of "I Know What I Got," which soon bursts forth into a glorious blaze of horns, you know this is going to be a special album. And indeed it is/5(17).
